Fall classes began for Master of Divinity, Master of Arts, Master of Theological Studies and Equipping Lay Ministry students on August 27.
Interesting facts about Wesley's newest master-level students:
80 are seeking a Master of Divinity degree (often a requirement of becoming ordained)
20 are seeking a Master of Theological Studies degree
The youngest new student is 21 and the oldest is 64
1/4 of the entering class is African American
Just over half the new students are female
50% of the entering class is affiliated with the United Methodist Church
More than a dozen Protestant denominations are represented in the entering class
